Biography
I want to help workplaces and our people hum. A job is only as good as your boss and having been both on the giving and receiving end, I wish I had been given good insights and tools from the start.
So, I am on a daring mission to help people to not be just A boss but be THE BOSS, whether you manage others or not, in a pragmatic and cost-effective way. This is done through coaching, workshops and self-sustaining tools that help you short circuit the process and DIY. I see it we need to do three things
1. Identify and play to yours, your teams’ and your organisation’s strengths
2. Have better, regular and more impactful coaching conversations
3. Focus on the important stuff
I’m a fan of a good long black (with a dash of milk) and a burger. To make sure I don’t look like a burger I exercise too. I’ve worked in the corporate sector for over 19 years, marketing brands like NESCAFE, KLEENEX and HUGGIES. I like to help people understand why they do what they do and to leverage this to get what they want. I’m a commercial guy at heart so that means delivering good business outcomes. In the last five years I’ve coached hundreds of people either as individuals or teams and worked with organisations such as Westpac, Chapman Tripp, New Zealand Blood Service, Nestle Purina, Hellers, Frucor, and Kimberly-Clark.
